Knutsford Remembrance Trail booklet
We were honoured to be involved in the design of the Knutsford Remembrance Trail booklet.
The booklet provides a unique and poignant guide to the lives of Knutsfordians who served their town and country during WW1. Wending its way through the town, the booklet, and indeed the trail itself, visits the places they lived, worked and spent their leisure time.
From the grave of one George Arthur Bebbington, killed in action on the Somme in July 1916, to the War Memorial, featuring Tom Darlington, awarded the Military Cross ‘for conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty’ – every location on the route tells a story of bravery, tragedy and loss.
Bella’s creative team created a striking and emotive front cover for the booklet, featuring the silhouette of a lone soldier within a poppy field. The theme is continued throughout and accompanied by insightful text and archive photography.
