The Royal Cheshire Show 2019 Marketing Highlights

Bella Design and Marketing has recently completed its fourth successful year managing the PR & marketing campaign for the county’s largest agricultural event, The Royal Cheshire County Show.

Organised by The Cheshire Agricultural Society and now in its 181st year, the Show welcomes in excess of 80,000 people over two days and has become a staple event for the county to celebrate the many fascinating aspects of rural Cheshire life.

The two-day farming and fun Cheshire extravaganza promised ticket holders a great day out in the Cheshire countryside, with an amazing line-up of competitions, demonstrations and new, exhilarating performances to enjoy.

Alongside our promotion of the many wonderful agricultural aspects of the Show, this year’s marketing strategy was focused on promoting the Show’s array of new attractions which included performances by the Monster Trucks and Cossack Trick Riders, plus demonstrations by this year’s celebrity chef, Rosemary Shrager.

The project included the creation of a comprehensive PR and marketing campaign, reaching across Cheshire, Greater Manchester, Merseyside and Staffordshire. The campaign targeted both the agricultural community and consumers across the age range using print and digital media throughout the North West. We were also able to make imaginative use of the digital marketing opportunities available at various high footfall locations such as the Intu Trafford Centre, Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet and Manchester Metropolitan University.

To enhance the Show’s online presence, Bella’s design team created a new user-friendly website, intuitively designed to help visitors understand and easily locate the very wide range of competitions and attractions available to enjoy and to help drive ticket sales for the Show.

We were delighted to welcome to the Show many press representatives from the agricultural and regional press plus BBC Breakfast, BBC North West Tonight, BBC Radio Manchester and Signal Radio. Such a significant press presence was clear evidence of the high esteem in which this prestigious, long established event is held.

Planning for The Royal Cheshire County Show 2020 is already underway!
